Painting with Light

by

More after the jump.

I accomplished this feat— painting with light— with 8 sparklers and my trusty DSLR. I used my tripod because I wanted to minimize movement to try and get really clear photos. This was almost impossible, but I want to try it again, tweaking my settings to try and achieve super clear pictures. firework, sparkler, painting with light, light art, photography

Photo of the Day: Throwback picture! This is from last summer when I studied abroad in the UK. Check the archives for more study abroad tales!

Photo of the day: my dinner. Nothing sounded good to me—except for breakfast. No healthy English muffin for me. Those are chocolate chip pancakes, super floppy bacon (just the way I like it) and a fried egg.

Get on my level.

Photo of the Day: Full disclosure: I edited this picture into fabulousness. The original was brighter, but I couldn’t resist the chance to make this into a really cool silhouette of the boys on a storm chase.

Photo of the Day: Me at the Newseum in Washington DC over Spring Break! Such an amazing place. I think I spent 3 hours in the front page room.

What I Wore: Wining, Dining, Working

Shopping info and more pictures after the jump!

What I Wore and Where:

Top: Old Navy

Pants: American Eagle (I know, I’m still 14)

Shoes: Target

Necklace: Tiffany & Co.

Occasion: A wine tasting event for my new internship!

Even though it was a hot summer night in OKC, I still wore these fabulous red jeans. It is never okay to shoot video in a skirt outside. In a controlled studio environment, we’ll talk about it. The shoes were superbly comfy and I actually own them in two colors. The two contrasting colors were a risk, but I was pretty happy with it!
